Two Pens on Notebook

Our Story

Welcome to Globetrotters Academy, a dedicated childcare facility born from the shared vision of two passionate educators, Elodie & Sandra, committed to redefining early childhood education.

With years of experience in the field, we’ve witnessed both the strengths and gaps in traditional teaching methods.

At the heart of Globetrotters is the belief that children are the future. We empower them to be thinkers, risk-takers, and self-reflective learners who embrace failure as a vital step in their journey. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and a growth mindset, we prepare them to navigate an ever-changing world with confidence and empathy. At Globetrotters Academy, we don’t just teach—we inspire lifelong learners.

Our approach focuses on building resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through real-life, hands-on activities. We integrate early literacy and math into meaningful contexts, encouraging children to explore, inquire, and reflect—both in the classroom and at home. Recognizing that every child learns differently, we tailor experiences to meet diverse needs, whether through visual, hands-on, or interactive methods.

About Sandra Mezino

IMG_9760.jpeg

I was born and raised on Réunion Island, France; a vibrant, multicultural place that shaped my curiosity about people and the world. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Sociology and Education in 2011, I began my international teaching journey as a teaching assistant in New York City. That experience sparked my passion for education and inspired me to pursue teaching as a lifelong vocation.

After traveling across Asia, I earned my French teaching certification in 2016 and began teaching at the elementary level in Paris. Since then, my career has taken me around the globe — from Paris to Kansas City, Missouri, and then to Vancouver, Canada, and Hoboken, New Jersey — each experience enriching my understanding of learning across cultures.

As an educator for 10 years and counting, my goal is to nurture curiosity, creativity, and open-mindedness in every student. I believe education should empower children to explore the world with confidence and empathy — and to become lifelong learners who embrace diversity and change.

When I’m not focused on my professional goals, you can often find me playing tennis around East Greenville, PA, learning about new cultures, and getting to know people in the community.
